This is my favourite piece of writing in term 1
Some cockaroach!
"Excuse me?"said Mum knocking on the door of my bedroom at 3 in the morning."
What!"I cried at mum for I had a great sleep.
"Destruction to the world, that's what!"shouted Mum as I walked outside with her.She chucked me in the car where the rest of the family was.We drove around peacfuly until BANG!I looked through the tinted window and saw a MASSIVE monster smashing up the place.
"Uh oh."I muttered to myself. It was no monster but it was a huge cockaroach.People were running every and screaming.
"Help!"cried a man just before his flesh met a giant cockaroach foot.
"AAHHH!" I screamed as the cockaroach tried to flip the car."some cockaroach!"said Dad.As it growed bigger it became more aggressive. Then we parked beside a trap door and scrambled down to see the entire family waiting. Then the cockaroach whipped out a can of fly spray and sprayed every one on the surface.Life was boring after that because very few other familys survived.10 years later the cockaroach finnaly died and human population went up again.I was eighteen by then because I was eight at the time.

The play ground
In this story I worked on using interesting sentences with joiners and correct capitals and full stops.
Under the bridge damp air blows on my face and the wooden bridge sounds like a creaky door. The monkey bars drip with rain and are ice cold. The slide is wet and the tunnel is dripping. The bell rings and year 1,2,3 race into the play ground.Stones start crunching and kids start chatting and having fun!If you see some one go down the very wet slide you would probably think 'well he/she must have a wet bottom!'I can smell fresh air and rain starting to come down.
