Inquiry-living things

"A living thing has to consume, grow, breathe, adapt to its environment and perish."

My project was about Komodo dragons.
I got my information from Google because I couldn't find any books about them.
My nanna helped me by suggesting to glue sticks on the cardboard.
I like reptiles quite a lot, but I wanted to choose something different-something you'd be less likely to know about.
My favourite fact is that when they are hatched they climb trees for safety but can't climb when they get older.
If I wanted to improve next time I probably would have done some of the other monitor lizards it is related to.

Outdoor education 2015

WALT: sail an optimist yacht

First we set up the yacht, and after about 30 minutes we were done.We set them off the trailer and we were off!We weren't a great one with the wind, so we got out the paddles and started picking up speed and it was a race to bouy number 1.After a great chase mine and Max's teamwork payed off with 3rd place! We learnt to capsize and get it back up, and how steering isn't very easy at the start and to make sure your centreboard is in or you lose control!
